We make a “sound analogy” of colour: an acoustic interpretation of wavelength.

The frequencies mentioned above (110 Hz – 660 Hz) are symbolic sound translations of colour: they lie within the audible range of the human ear, while the actual light spectrum is billions of times higher (terahertz).
