This collection touches me deeply. It is the culmination of a long, patient and sincere technical quest.
An attempt to translate emotions, sensations, habits... an era of life into images.
Trial after trial, with the help of ‘Patterson’, revealing the negatives,
a raw self-portrait through the bust of my beloved, honest.
Thanks to silver photography, in its most authentic form,
I found the language. A language that draws on science
— physics, chemistry, biology —
to better reveal, sought to be seen, understood, shared.
This work allowed me to understand, to read,
as if through a silent mirror.
What followed was even more intimate: a treatment applied directly to the negatives,
a living, vibrant material, witness to my inner world.
A new beginning.

This work covers 35 years of life.
A period shaped by education, teaching, the codes of our society, and the environment around us.
Without wishing to blame anyone, I feel that we live, or try to live, according to a will that is not always our own. It is as if we were following a path, a construct, something we have learnt... And yet, when we finally open our minds and listen to ourselves sincerely, we understand that this path is not ours.
What I have found here is a return.
I owe this openness to ‘Princess’, whom everyone knows and appreciates. She came into my life at a key moment, and through her gentle but lucid presence and long conversations, she opened doors. She helped me to understand. To feel. To love.
True love.
Respect.
The kind we sometimes forget, the kind we rediscover with an intensity that is almost painful, but liberating.
It took this work to get closer to it. To lighten my load. To free my mind.
A true little angel.

This process also rekindled my faith in photography. It reconnected me with my original passion, with that mastery I thought I had lost in the ruins of a youth marked by the digital revolution.
Not having the means, I had gone off to explore other horizons. I learned a lot there, yes. But I had never touched my true ‘inner self’.
And then one day, in Paris, in Diamantino's laboratory, my tears flowed.
Down my cheeks.
Over the images.
We developed that first work together. And I felt something reborn.
It was a liberation for me.
But also a return...

‘He who loses himself in his passion loses less than he who loses his passion.’
